travel news - Families Are Finding Morocco An Easier Place To Travel, Says Expert
Families are finding Morocco an easier place to travel, says expert
November 19 2008
A travel industry insider who specialises in Morocco has said that it is becoming a lot easier for families to travel to the north African nation, thanks to a significant development in the facilities available.
Jane Folliott, commercial director of Orion Trek Voyages, said that parents were increasingly feeling more confident about taking their kids to the country and particularly recommended it for Christmas breaks.
She said: "It is short-haul from the UK, it is exotic, it is for people that do not want the full-on Christmas kind of thing in their face."
Ms Folliot explained that as Morocco is a Muslim country, it is "perfect" for people looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Christmas in the UK.
A recent survey by Kayak.co.uk found that 70 per cent of Brits disliked something about the festive season in the UK.
